Dr Ryan Maroun

Dr Maroun graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering Sciences in Biomedical Engineering degree and a Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of the Witwatersrand.
The first two years post qualification Dr Maroun spent working at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital. He rotated through all the major medical disciplines. He also gained invaluable experience working in one of the busiest emergency and trauma units in the world.
The third year post qualification Dr Maroun was assigned to Brits District Hospital in the North West. He spent the entire year in the surgical department where he was able to hone his surgical skills. He performed multiple surgical procedures ranging from intricate hand surgeries to devastating limb amputations. Dr Maroun continues to assist surgeons around Gauteng to keep his surgical knowledge up to date.
Post qualification Dr Maroun has continued to stay current in emergency medicine. He currently holds certifications in a number of emergency courses such as: BLS, SAPA neonatal resuscitation, PALS, ACLS and ATLS. He still provides his expertise on a locum basis at many casualty departments around Johannesburg.
Maroun Medical was created as a means to fill the gap in personalised medical services. It was developed to bring the medical service to the patients home. Initially only offering GP consultation services, the practice has added new services such as Botox + Dermal fillers, Intravenous therapies, Tele-Medicine, Clinical Weight Loss Management and Laboratory testing.
